Welcome to West Palm Beach

Hip, vibrant heart of the Palm Beach area

West Palm Beach is the trendy, urban neighborhood of the Palm Beaches. Minutes from famed Palm Beach, this neighborhood is the center of nightlife, exciting events, and incredible shopping and dining. Though residents don’t have much need to go beyond the city boundaries, West Palm Beach has easy access to the golfing of Palm Beach Gardens and water sports of Singer Island as well as direct service to Miami from the Brightline station.

West Palm Beach as we know it was founded in the late 19th Century around the freshwater lake that sits just in from the coast. One of the first businesses was a lumber yard, but by the 1950s, West Palm Beach was one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country. The area has seen numerous population booms over the decades, but it was the improvement and beautification projects at the end of the 20th Century that truly established West Palm Beach as the thriving, luxurious city it is today.

Downtown West Palm Beach is full of luxury condos full of incredible amenities and steps from the excitement of downtown. If you want to be close but require a more peaceful residential feel, there are gorgeous neighborhoods full of new constructions, single-family homes, and sprawling villas. West Palm Beach has something for everyone who longs to be at the center of the most exciting city in Southern Florida.

Local Lifestyle

West Palm Beach is the most exciting city in the area, full of cultural experiences, incredible dining, and a vibrant atmosphere. Like many Palm Beach cities, West Palm Beach draws many retirees, visitors, and seasonal residents. However, its location and lively atmosphere also attract young professionals and families to these palm-lined streets. Because West Palm Beach is the area’s biggest city, its neighborhoods are plentiful and varied, letting residents handpick the feel and location in which they want to live.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

There are many pockets of commercial spaces throughout West Palm Beach. The bustling downtown vibe of Clematis Street, the luxurious atmosphere of Rosemary Square, and the quaint boutiques of Northwood Village offer unique and exciting options for shoppers and diners.

Clematis Street is the main artery of the downtown area and has the biggest concentration of delicious dining options. Dr. Limon Ceviche Bar is a creative restaurant that serves authentic Peruvian cuisine. For a taste of French elegance, have lunch or dinner at critically- acclaimed Pistache French Bistro. Famous Italian spot Ristorante Santucci is known for its all-white decor and family recipes. If you’re in need of caffeine, the flagship store of Subculture Coffee sits on Clematis and is ready to serve you up a double shot of small-batch coffee. Another staple of Clematis Street, and the best place to catch any of your favorite teams, is Duffy’s Sports Grill.

Rosemary Square is a mixed-use residential and commercial space that boasts some incredible shopping at big names such as Restoration Hardware, Lucid Motors, and Sur La Table. Northwood Village is home to many of the artsiest and trendiest shops of West Palm Beach, including stylish home finds at Row House Interiors, vintage furniture at Circa Who, and the most influential skate brands at Post Modern Skateshop.

Things to Do

West Palm Beach is famous for its many cultural institutions and its lively calendar of events throughout the year. Whether you’re looking for a big annual event or weekly community happenings, there is something for you.

Clematis by Night is a weekly concert that has been West Palm Beach tradition for almost three decades. Gather along Clematis Street and enjoy a seaside happy hour while listening to the area’s best musicians. West Palm Beach loves music, which makes it the perfect home to SunFest, Florida’s largest waterfront music and art festival. Locals also get a front-row seat for the luxury and prestige of Palm Beach International Boat Show

In the heart of downtown, Kravis Center hosts everything from film festivals to Broadway shows to intimate concert series in its four separate performance venues. Spend an afternoon admiring the more than 7,000 works of art housed in Norton Museum of Art, enjoy the library and gardens of The Society of the Four Arts, or learn about everything from dinosaurs and the Atlantic Ocean to the universe and the human brain at South Florida Science Center and Aquarium. It may be full of urban amenities, but West Palm Beach also has access to miles of gorgeous beaches to the east and the lush natural area of Grassy Waters Preserve to the west.

Schools

West Palm Beach is served by The School District of Palm Beach as well as a number of wonderful private and charter schools.
